Raising Kittens to Be Confident, Loving Companions
At Day Springs Ragdolls, socialization isn’t a step in our process — it’s the heart of everything we do. We believe that emotional support kittens must be more than just beautiful; they must be emotionally prepared for their vital role in their new families’ lives.
From the moment our kittens are born, they are raised in our home. We gently handle them daily, beginning with soft touch and voice imprinting in the first few days of life. As they grow, we gradually introduce them to a wide range of positive experiences, including:
- Gentle exposure to household sounds (vacuum, doorbell, TV, music)
- Daily human interaction with adults, children, and trusted guests
- Play-based confidence-building with toys, climbing structures, and exploration
- Routine grooming rituals to ensure comfort with being handled
- Comfortable crate and travel experiences, so they’re prepared for car rides or vet visits
By the time our kittens are ready for their new homes, they are not just well-adjusted but also affectionate, people-focused, and eager to bond.
We specialize in preparing kittens for roles as emotional support animals, and many of our Ragdolls go on to serve individuals with anxiety, PTSD, depression, and sensory sensitivities. We are proud to say our kittens come to you ready to connect — not just pets, but partners in emotional healing.
