Where Beautiful Kittens Are Raised to Love People
At Day Spring Ragdolls, we believe a truly exceptional kitten is not defined by beauty alone.
It is found in the kitten who melts into your arms.
The kitten who follows you from room to room, settles beside you at the end of a long day, and seems to understand that sometimes the greatest gift is simply being near.
That kind of companionship does not happen by accident.
It begins with time. It grows through trust. And it is nurtured through love.
Our kittens are raised in our home in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of Northern California, where their earliest weeks are filled with gentle voices, loving hands, peaceful surroundings, and countless opportunities to discover that people are safe, kind, and worth trusting.
This is the heart of Day Spring Ragdolls.
The Difference Is in the Hours
There are many things that go into raising a healthy, beautiful Ragdoll or Cherubim kitten—but one of the most important things we give our kittens cannot be purchased.
We give them our time.
Hundreds of hours are devoted to caring for, handling, observing, comforting, playing with, and socializing our kittens throughout the year.
From their earliest weeks, our kittens experience intentional human interaction. We hold them in our laps. We speak softly to them. We gently touch their paws, ears, faces, and bodies. We introduce them gradually to the normal sounds, movements, people, and rhythms of a loving home.
As they grow, their world grows with them.
We do not rush this process because relationships cannot be rushed.
And those hours become the foundation for a lifetime.
We Raise Companions, Not Simply Kittens
Our goal has never been simply to produce beautiful cats.
We are raising companions.
We want our kittens to become deeply connected members of their future families—the cat waiting at the door when you come home, sleeping beside you while you read, following you into the kitchen, curling beside a child, or quietly offering companionship during one of life’s difficult seasons.
This is why temperament and socialization are so important to us.
Ragdolls are famous for their gentle, affectionate nature, but we believe even wonderful genetics should be supported by an equally thoughtful beginning.
A kitten’s early experiences matter.
So we intentionally invest the time necessary to help our kittens become confident, affectionate, people-oriented companions.
Some kittens are naturally outgoing and adventurous. Others are thoughtful and gentle. Some want to be in the middle of everything, while others prefer to quietly curl against you.
We honor those differences.
Our goal is not to make every kitten identical. It is to help each kitten become the most confident, trusting, loving version of the cat he or she was created to be.
Socialization Begins Before You Ever Meet Your Kitten
Long before one of our kittens curls into your arms, a relationship with people has already begun.
It begins in the quiet moments.
A tiny kitten sleeping peacefully on a lap. A gentle hand stroking soft fur. A kitten hearing a familiar human voice. A curious baby exploring a new room and discovering that there is nothing to fear.
A playful kitten learning that people are wonderful companions.
These moments may seem small. But thousands of small moments create something remarkable. They create trust.
And trust is the foundation upon which extraordinary companionship can grow.

Raised in Our Home, Surrounded by Life
Our kittens are not raised apart from the world they will eventually enter.
They are raised in our home.
They experience the ordinary rhythms of family life—the sounds of people talking, doors opening, household activity, playtime, quiet time, feeding time, visitors, affection, and rest.
Their environment expands gradually as they mature so they can develop confidence without being overwhelmed.
We want the transition from our home to yours to feel less like entering an unfamiliar world and more like beginning the next chapter of something they already understand: life with people who love them.
Health, Beauty, Temperament—and Heart
We care deeply about pedigree, health, structure, coat, color, and the beautiful characteristics for which Ragdolls and Cherubim are known.
But there is something else we are looking for: Heart.
We want to raise cats who seek human connection.
Cats who bring gentleness into a home.
Cats whose beauty may first capture your attention—but whose personalities ultimately capture your heart.
This philosophy shapes the way we raise every litter.
Our Commitment Does Not End on Adoption Day
When one of our kittens leaves Day Spring Ragdolls, we understand that something precious is being entrusted to a new family.
And we also understand that you are trusting us.
That responsibility matters deeply to us.
Our relationship with our families does not simply end when a kitten goes home. We want to be a resource throughout your kitten’s life—celebrating milestones, answering questions, offering guidance, and hearing the stories of the lives our kittens become part of.
Because to us, these kittens have never been inventory.
They are lives we have loved before placing them into the arms of someone else.
The Day Spring Difference
When you choose a Day Spring kitten, you are receiving far more than the beautiful kitten you see in a photograph.
You are receiving the result of careful breeding, thoughtful nurturing, intentional socialization, and countless hours of human interaction.
You are receiving all the quiet moments no photograph could ever show.
The laps. The cuddles. The play. The observation. The comforting. The conversations spoken to tiny kittens who cannot yet understand the words but already understand the tenderness behind them.
The patient work of teaching a little animal that the world can be safe—and that people can be trusted.
That is the Day Spring difference.
We cannot promise exactly who each kitten will become. Every kitten has a personality and story of its own.
But we can promise how their story begins:
- Surrounded by care.
- Held in loving hands.
- Given time to grow.
- Taught to trust.
- And deeply loved before they ever leave our home.
Loved from the beginning. Raised with love. Nurtured for companionship.
